Fork Media and Ziff Davis join forces to launch Mashable India

Indian publishing company, Fork Media has joined forces with digital media company, Ziff Davis to operate Mashable India.

The extended partnership builds on Forks' existing operation of other Ziff Davis brands, IGN and AskMen, in India. Mashable India will curate and localize Mashable's global content and will also create content specifically for the Indian market.

Samar Verma, CEO of Fork Media said: "We're excited to expand our partnership with Ziff Davis, having developed real traction with IGN and AskMen, we view Mashable as a game changer to our content publishing business. We believe Fork Media can drive Mashable India to its true potential with our integrated content, sales and marketing approach."

Adam Doree, on behalf of Ziff Davis said: "As a new chapter for Mashable's international expansion begins, Ziff Davis will be working with the very best media companies in the world as its partner operators – both existing and new to our partner group. Google links with auto giants for new in-car system (coming 2021)

Google has struck a deal with the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance, the world’s largest maker of cars, to be able to use Google Maps, Google Assistant and the Android OS in its vehicles.

The deal, with Google’s parent company Alphabet, will debut starting in 2021. The move will rival Apple ‘s existing Apple CarPlay

However, it also provides valuable customer data, so many auto companies are hesitant to take advantage of Google’s Android Auto.

Majority of UK holiday shopping ‘will occur digitally and not in-store’

Nearly 85 percent of consumers plan to spend the same or more on gifts as they did last year, with millennials almost 2X more likely to increase spend, according to new research.

Ad tech firm OpenX released the findings of a UK survey conducted in partnership with The Harris Poll looking at consumer shopping ahead of the 2018 holiday season. The study found that consumers expect to spend more in digital channels this year than they will in-store, with millennials in particular expecting to spend more than 60 percent of their money online.
