Valentine’s Day: The most ‘loved’ brands on Facebook

It’s the time of year when hearts, flowers, and chocolate are prominent in offices and homes, and people spend more time with their loved ones. Socialbakers, a social media marketing platform, also found that more and more people are spending time online loving their favourite brands, and sharing their most loved brands with their friends.

In the UK, Socialbakers found that the top 10 brands on Facebook (see below) with the most shared loved reactions are those that elicit emotion or humour, and fall within food, entertainment or beauty.

Winter Olympics fans spend an average of 2 hours 24 minutes a day on social media, and 1 in 5 are watching Facebook Live video content on a monthly basis, according to a new report.

A global study of 30,755 Winter Olympics fans conducted by GlobalWebIndex has identified a huge area of advertising opportunity around the ongoing sporting event with 35% of consumers now watching online.

Winter Olympics fans – defined as those who say they watch the Winter Olympics on TV or online – spend an average of 2 hours 24 minutes a day on social media.

Chatbots to handle 25% of all customer service operations by 2020- report

A quarter of all customer service operations will be handled by chatbots by 2020, according to new research.

The report, from Gartner, indicates that despite less than 2% of businesses using virtual customer assistants (VCA) in 2017, the technology will become much more popular in the immediate future, citing organisations reporting a reduction of 70% in call, chat and email enquiries after implementing the software.

Its research found that these companies are also seeing increased customer satisfaction and a 33% saving per ‘voice engagement’ at the same time.
